BIOGRAPHY

 

Lucas Redondo Bonet, born in Valencia in 1979, is a Spanish painter and art instructor now residing in South Korea. A Graduate of Art History from the University of Valencia in 2002, he developed a keen interest in Asian art and culture. He  traveled to Japan and became an exchange student at Waseda University in 2002. He once again returned to Japan in 2004 funded by the Monbu Kagakusho Scholarship and continued his graduate studies at the prestigious Tokyo University of the Arts. He obtained his Doctoral Degree in Art and Education in 2011.

In the same year he relocated to South Korea and established his art studio in the Gyeongsan area, where he taught figurative painting at Daegu Catholic University until 2016. At present he works as an art instructor at Keimyung University in Daegu. In addition, he also presents his artwork yearly in individual and collective exhibitions, as well as in art festivals and art fairs, around  South Korea and Japan.
